Texas Governor Rick Perry is at it again!
He has suggested that when a surplus of tax dollars comes in, it should go back to the taxpayers.
Perry said this week, he has “never bought into the notion that if you collect more, you need to spend more.”
Most taxpayers would agee with Perry.
Unfortunately, not all governors have the same attitude. Governor Dennis Daugaard is “keeping” the South Dakota surplus. It might just “come in handy” if the state needs to spend more money. But he isn’t even happy with that!
The first bill signed by Governor Daugaard in this Legislative session was a tax increase.
If you live in Texas, you get money back! In South Dakota, your taxes are going up!
I guess you don’t have to look outside at the snow to realize this ain’t Texas!
