A message of hope, inspiration and challenge.
America’s only hope for restoration is for the hearts of men, women and children to turn their hearts toward God. This Sunday message is one that is good for every day of the week.

If you’ve been paying attending to what we’ve been saying about revival over these past weeks you may be asking yourself, “Should I get out and vote for candidates that I believe will uphold the Christian values upon which this nation was founded? or should I just hunker down and pray for a heaven-sent revival? Well, the reality is it’s not an either/or…it’s a both/and. We must pray then vote, vote then pray.
It’s instructive to note that one of the most famed revival leaders in our nation’s history was a firm believer in the Christian’s obligation to get involved in the political process. Charles Finney who led thousands to Christ in the 2nd Great Awakening said, “The time has come that Christians must vote for honest men and take consistent ground in politics, or the Lord will curse them… God cannot sustain this free and blessed country, which we love and pray for, unless the Church will take right ground. Politics are a part of religion in such a country as this, and Christians must do their duty to the country as part of their duty to God. God will bless or curse this nation according to the course Christians take in politics.” Thirty six years ago when Ronald Reagan was running for president against then incumbent Jimmy Carter he uttered these words that ring down through the years even more true today than they were then: “You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done.” My friends pray then vote. Vote then pray.
This requires an educated electorate who will examine the issues and the candidates and vote in a way that is best for the nation, not just their own well-being. Much prayer is needed for this critical process.
