Funerals give us opportunity to consider someone’s legacy.

If we are at all introspective, it’s also a time to consider what kind of legacy WE are building with our own lives.

The only thing that will really last is the difference we have made in someone else’s life.

As a nation, the legacy left for future generations is significantly impacted by what we do ( or don’t do ) politically.

What kind of legacy are we leaving for our children and grandchildren in America?  Will they be better off because of what we have done?

This might be a good time for Christians to ask themselves that question.  As a believer, have you voted for candidates who support the doctrines of Christ?  Perhaps I should ask, Have you even bothered to vote?

Have you contributed your time, money and effort to elect Godly men and women?

How can Barack Obama, a supporter of abortion, infanticide and homosexual marriage, be our President?  It’s very simple.  Christians have failed in their responsibility to their faith, their families and their country.  Christians are responsible for the legacy of debt and debauchery we are leaving behind.  Half of them don’t vote.  Of the half that do vote, half have voted for men and women who oppose the very faith Christians claim to support.

There may still be time.  There may still be hope.  If Christians will behave like Christians, America may still be able to leave a legacy we can all be proud of.

Followers of Christ, stand up and be counted!
