The strategic and tactical roles of the B1-B bomber in the Middle East will be discussed by the Black Hills Veterans Writing Group on Saturday, December 11th at the Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City at 9 am.
Retired Air Force Maj. Robert Liebman of Ellsworth Air Force Base will present a slideshow of his experiences as a Weapons Systems Officer aboard a B1-B Lancer in both Afghanistan and Iraq, with a look at the vast array of technical training required to achieve mission-critical precision. Liebman is currently part of the Ellsworth Heritage Foundation and regularly conducts tours at the South Dakota Air and Space Museum. More information is available at www.battlestory.org.
