As surely as spring brings new life after a long winter, Easter represents new life after death.
The resurrection of Jesus provides hope for mankind, that in a world filled with evil, there is new life for those who embrace it. The power of the resurrection is deposited into the heart of man, transforming the worst of sinners into children of God.
Christ spoke of his mission in John 10:10
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
That speaks to our existence on this earth and our eternal destiny after this present life. Life in Christ is, indeed, abundant.
A life yielded to Jesus is transformed, just like the winter landscape becomes green in the spring. All things are new. The signs of life are abundant. So it is with the sinner, saved by the transforming resurrection power of Jesus.
I pray that your Easter celebration includes a personal resurrection into the abundant life that is freely given to anyone who asks. God bless you and your family, and may God bless America.
