This “compromise” tax cuts deal is a very bad deal indeed now being promoted by the president as a good deal for the American people. This is the same president whose socialist agenda was repudiated on November 2nd. Republicans, indeed all Americans, should reject this deal completely.
Why you ask?
Here’s why:
1. It increases government spending by at least 150-200 billion dollars….dollars we would have to borrow.
2. It does nothing to create jobs…..the employer’s share of payroll taxes would remain constant.
The mainstream media told yesterday of an animated president who
ardently defended this tax deal ostensibly against members of his own party. Nice try by the president (fake right, go left…..it’s a natural move for a left-handed basketball player).
What he really did at this news conference yesterday was to continue his class-warfare rhetoric and agenda.
He actually said that Republicans want to end middle-class tax cuts. He called Republicans “hostage takers.” He said that the holy grail of the Republicans was to extend tax cuts to the wealthy. Did he really say that, Ed? Answer: yes.
This is a very bad deal……..call Senator Johnson and Senator Thune and call Congresswoman Herseth-Sandlin. Tell them NO DEAL!!!
