Conservative Legislators are in short supply in South Dakota. This Rapid City homemaker and businesswoman plans to change that… at least by one.
Taffy Howard is a Candidate for SD House in District 33.
She has lived, worked and raised her family in Rapid City for the past 23 years. She served as an officer in the United States Air Force serving stateside during the first Gulf War. She is married to Mark and they have two grown sons, Austin and Matthew. Mark is employed as a civil servant at Ellsworth AFB and Austin and Matthew are both students at SDSM&T.
Taffy has been a homemaker and homeschool teacher as well as helping to run their storage unit business, Cimarron Storage in Box Elder, and managing their rental properties in Rapid City. As the boys were growing up, she stayed busy being a team mom for numerous soccer and baseball teams over the years, volunteering with Angel Tree, the Cornerstone Rescue Mission, as well as Meals on Wheels.
Taffy is an active member of South Canyon Baptist Church and currently helps teach a Sunday School class. She has been active in the Pennington County Republican Party for many years and has been a precinct committeewoman for the past two years.
Being pro-life, pro-family values, and pro-2nd Amendment, Taffy believes it is time to restore conservative values to state government.
Taffy Howard will make a great addition to the South Dakota House of Representatives.
