It isn’t because they have suddenly become conservative.

Ronald Reagan was successful in attracting blue collar Democrats.  That was a different day and time.

The “Trump Democrats” are a completely different kind of voter.  An examination of Trump’s record discloses that he is anything but another Reagan.  Is he attracting Democrats? Absolutely, but not the kind that supported Reagan.

Reagan won the Republican nomination with REPUBLICAN votes.  Some Democrats voted for him in the general election against the failed policies of their candidate.  Trump Democrats, however, are skewing the Republican primary process.  That is NOT the way it worked for Reagan.

The Trump Democrats like his record and his rhetoric, neither of which represents conservative principles.

Conservatives should be wary when Democrats support a “Republican”.
