America is no longer a Christian nation.

When I heard him make this proclamation I vehemently objected.  Over the last several years, I have come to believe he was right.  We once WERE a Christian nation, but we have turned a corner and abandoned our faith in God.

President Barack Obama has proven an effective spokesman and representative of those who disparage Christians and the God they serve.

When we used to be a Christian nation, it would have been an abomination to kill an unborn child.  Today our nation celebrates the practice a freedom to choose.

When we used to be a Christian nation, homosexuality was a sin.  Now it is an alternative lifestyle with special privileges.

When we used to be a Christian nation, prayer was commonplace in public schools.  Our non-Christian nation has removed prayer and references to God.

When we used to be a Christian nation, it was unacceptable to use vulgarity or nudity on television.  It is now nearly impossible to find programming that does not include it.

When we used to be a Christian nation, families were made up of one father one mother.  One parent families and same sex parenting have become normal.

When we were a Christian nation, political leaders were required to be men and women of sound moral character.  It simply doesn’t matter any more.

There still is a remnant.  The body of Christ still exists.  As the days grow darker, there are/will be a people of power, who demonstrate the ultimate authority and sovereignty of God.

 Maybe one day, we will again be a Christian nation.
