Alarming, but not surprising.
In a poll done about a year ago, The Center for Security Policy discovered that, “More than half (51%) of U.S. Muslims polled also believe either that they should have the choice of American or shariah courts, or that they should have their own tribunals to apply shariah. Only 39% of those polled said that Muslims in the U.S. should be subject to American courts.”
Also disconcerting was the finding that, “It is legitimate to use violence to punish those who give offense to Islam by, for example, portraying the prophet Mohammed.”
The upside is that 63% of the Muslims surveyed expressed their support for the freedom of expression provided by the US Constitution. About one in five believe that violence is acceptable to make Sharia Law the law of the land in America.
Omar Ahmad, the Chairman of The Council on America-Islamic Relations has been reported as having the position that “The Quran … should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth.” That isn’t exactly the model for Muslim assimilation into American society.
The fact is that Islam is not compatible with Christian culture. Islam is not a religion of tolerance. Islam is a religion of dominance.
Defenders of Islam will not appreciate this article. Let’s all come together and promote a peaceful and tolerant environment that will not accept violence and forced conversion to any religion. Here is my invitation: Will a committed Muslim please write a response which rejects any/all parts of the Quran that promotes violence and world dominance by Islam? I will happily publish it, and call on other Muslims to embrace tolerance and assimilation.
