Will this make the Right happy?

President elect Trump is shaping policy as he builds his cabinet.  Most people are expecting him to be a mixed bag when it comes to policy positions, but some of his choices are welcome news to conservatives.  Choosing Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education fires another shot over the bow of moderates and the left.  DeVos is a confirmed pro life advocate.  She and her husband have donated millions of dollars to Pro Life organizations.

Another problem for the left is the pro choice record of DeVos when it comes to education.  This might make her even more unpopular with the left, as Education Secretary.  She doesn’t just believe in school choice, she has been an aggressive advocate in her home state of Michigan.  Not good news for the teachers union and others who want to continue the dumbing down of students.

At first glance, DeVos appears to be a choice that will be good for conservatives.  Pro Life and Pro School Choice .  There will be plenty of attacks and screams from the left.  Reports will circulate that disparage her for a variety of reasons.  At the end of the day, she will be confirmed and continue to advocate in her new position for the things she believes in.

On these two issues, that’s good news.
