Today is the last step in the election process.
The electoral college will cast their votes. Donald Trump will be the next President of the United State of America. It’s how the American experiment has worked (and survived). It will work just fine today too, thank you.
Were it not for the electoral college, and the President chosen by a simple popular vote, things would be very different in America. In the 2016 race, California would have chosen the President, even though Trump surpassed Clinton’s vote total in the rest of the country by nearly 1 1/2 million votes. That doesn’t appeal to me very much. I would not like America to look like or be governed like California. I’ve been there, and enjoyed it, but I certainly wouldn’t want to live there.
So, California (and the rest of leftist America) will have to get used to calling Donald Trump Mr. President. The upside for California (?) is that they can continue business as usual until they completely destroy their economy and tax themselves out of existence. They can continue to harbor illegal, criminal aliens until Trump does something about it.
Thanks to the electoral college, America doesn’t have to look like California.

I just wish Californians would stay in CA instead of coming to Texas where housing is reasonable and people still have some conservative values.
