With the fervor of a growing caliphate, California is staking out political boundaries and preparing to oppose the new President.

The Democrat controlled California Legislature (one of the few in the nation) has hired Eric Holder to “Safeguard the values of the people of California” in anticipated battles with the Trump Administration.  This move shouldn’t be a big surprise to anyone.  Trump popularity in California is as low as any President has ever been.  Clinton beat Trump there by about 4 million votes.

This move is a sign of how the leftists plan to embrace “unity” and reject the partisan rancor they have blamed on Republicans.  The next four years will not be pretty.  Expect the leftist Democrats to go kicking and screaming.  They will use every means available to them to thwart any policy that runs contrary to an Obama-esque agenda.

President Donald Trump can prevail, but some on the right are still nervous that he might “make deals” that would compromise conservative values.  What the leftists can’t “negotiate”, they will attempt to litigate.  The left is prepared to spend big money fighting every step of the way.  Holder has assured the California leftists that it will be worth their investment, “The cost will be very minimal compared to the billions of dollars at stake if California doesn’t adequately make its case.”  That’s a nice way of preparing them for sticker shock when they get his bill.

America is watching, and praying that Trump doesn’t fold.
