Spending an hour, one -on-one with the President…

… Arguably, the most powerful man on the planet.

No, I don’t have an appointment scheduled.  But if I did, I would go.  Stay with me for a moment.  If you don’t like our current President, pick the one you like.  Would you go?  Certainly you would.

What would you say?  What would you do?

I would be interested in listening.  There would be a few personal requests.  Having the ear of someone so powerful would be an amazing experience.

Now, imagine if he were my father.  He would be looking forward to our appointment too.  I would be the focus of his love and attention.  He would be anxious to do for me whatever I might ask, and he would have the power to do it.  He would also want to share with me the incredible things he was planning to do.

You probably haven’t spent an hour with a president.  Neither have I.

BUT…

I have an even MORE important appointment, with someone much more powerful.  My appointment is with the God of the universe.  All I have to do is show up.  He is waiting.  He loves me.  He wants to bless me.  He wants to answer all my questions.  He wants to help me.  He wants to protect me.  He wants to instruct me.  He wants to spend time with me.

WOW!

The God who spoke the universe into existence is waiting with excitement about meeting with me.

Jeremiah 33:3 is my invitation: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

I think I’ll go to this meeting.
