Misguided horse lovers are responsible.

Groups claiming to “protect and preserve” wild horses are actually responsible for creating a situation that is detrimental to wild horses… and their environment.

Groups continue to sue the Bureau of Land Management, preventing them from making sound management decisions.  In the process, the horse population continues to grow at an unsustainable level.  In the process, precious natural resources of water and grass are literally being destroyed.

This problem is similar to the mis-management of National forests.  Special interest groups that do not understand the dynamics of sound management have caused significant damage to the forests they claim to be protecting.

In both of these situations, grasslands and forests under good management practices are thriving, next to ecological disasters caused by the intervention of self proclaimed environmentalists who do not have a clue about practices that actually produce positive results.

These “horse lovers” are some of the same people who insist on banning well managed cattle grazing, while insisting that over populations of wild horses are allowed to destroy natural habitat.

It makes no sense.
