There wasn’t one.

It was the first one I watched.  It might be the last.  There wasn’t anything new, and there wasn’t anyone on the stage that impressed me as “Presidential”.  I am probably biased anyway because of the common thread of positions that make them pretty much the same: Pro abortion, higher taxes, less freedom, and the like.

What left the biggest impression was the weakness of their individual closing statements.  The following are the main arguments from each of the candidates.  A couple are missing simply because they really didn’t have a closing argument.

These are their words, not mine.

“Tax the hell out of the rich

Make Donald Trump a one term President

We face a looming catastrophe (global warming).  We have one last chance.

Donald Trump has torn apart the moral fabric of this nation.

Donald Trump and war mongering politicians have failed us.

Most Americans can’t pay their bills.  We will give everyone $1,000.00 per month.

We have a predator living in the White House.”

These are supposed to be the Democrat’s best and brightest.  That alone closes the deal for me.  None of them would be able to win on the debate stage with President Trump.

If rational Americans prevail, 2020 isn’t even a contest.
