Amendment C… Yes or No??

Two bits of information could help you make up your mind:

A simple explanation of what this amendment would do.
Knowing who is funding the campaign.

To that end, Tonchi Weaver has provided some information that should be useful to those who are still wondering how to vote on this amendment:

“There is a lot of money trying to convince us to vote NO on Amendment C. A little over half ($800,000.00) comes from the medical industrial complex (Sanford, Avera, Monument, American Cancer Society). The balance ($705,960.00) comes from the National Education Association (NEA) and, it appears, a leftist LGBTQ+ organization called “The Fairness Project”. The address given on the campaign finance report for the $250,000.00 donor “The Fairness Project” is in Washington DC and lists the organization as a registered foreign non-profit. (I am not certain that the LGBTQ+ entity is the same etitiy, since there are many entities that go by the name “Fairness Project”, but I am certain that the one who gave money to the Vote NO side is registered as a foreign nonprofit.) “

“The Vote No contributions were all cash, while the contributions of the Vote Yes side are donated goods and services (polling, mailing, etc.) in the amount of $616, 564.75. ”

“I ask people to think about the fact that when out state Constitution was written, we did not have a welfare state. That may be why our founders did not place the same safeguard on legislation brought by the people that they placed on legislation brought by their representatives in Article XI, §13 and §14. “
