I have jumped off the Tea Party Express!!!
The Tea Party Express chair, Amy Kremer, said yesterday that the Tea Party Express will support whoever wins the GOP presidential nomination – – even if that person is former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.
Say what?
Actually her quote was “whoever the Republican nominee is will have to have the support of the Tea Party movement, the entire Tea Party movement.” I couldn’t disagree more.
Kremer also wants to put to rest the idea the Tea Party would support a third party candidate, insisting the Tea Party can work from within the Democratic and Republican parties.
Lock up the kool-aid and keep Amy away from it.
“There is no way that we are going to support a third party candidate. It would split the vote and it would guarantee reelection for Obama, and we need to crush Obama we have to get him out of the White House,” says Kremer.
I can agree with the passion to remove Obama from the White House, but the support of a “moderate” Republican candidate, such as Romney would be a serious mistake for the tea parties. The blind following of liberal “RINO” Republicans, such as Romney is how we got where we are today. Negotiation and compromise with liberal left on entitlements and unrestrained spending has brought to the edge of the economic abyss.
If the GOP nominates a RINO big tent Republican, it will be time for a third party and the tea parties should withhold support from the RINO even at the expense of losing the election. At least we can see the spots of the liberal, not so with the RINO.
The grassroots tea party movement is leaderless by design. Its focus and power come from the ground up, not from any one leader. Amy Kremer doesn’t speak for the movement, only the Tea Party Express.
Amy, do the movement a real large favor. Please don’t represent yourself as a spokesperson for the tea party movement because you are not.
The tea party is fracturing into smaller splinter groups, and this is going to further weaken the GOP. Look for Dems to enjoy record wins across the board in 2012, much like the Dems did last year.
Huh? The Dems had victories last year?
