President Obama addresses some of his hardcore supporters.
This is apparently Obama’s newest campaign strategy – surround yourself with ecstatic youngsters who don’t have to pay any bills, making everyone think your campaign is filled with rapturous true believers.
Tuesday his campaign thought it a grand idea to promote his American Jobs Act to the student population of Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver, where the president was guaranteed a particularly friendly reception since the school’s website features his campaign slogan, proclaiming Si Se Puede (Yes We Can).
Wednesday it was Benjamin Banneker Academic High School in Washington.
The president’s campaign gurus have found the secret weapon. Speak only in places where he will receive rock star treatment. And they’ll be rapturous with excitement.
And rapturous they were.
They haven’t lost their jobs. BECAUSE THEY DON’T HAVE JOBS. And if they’re like most high school kids, they don’t read a lot of newspapers either.
THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON!
And they love the president. They are his hardcore supporters.
