Jesus never took a dime for anything he did, nor would he ever consider doing so. Why then do some modern “Christian” evangelists become extremely wealthy preaching the word of Christ? Thats the point, and it’s quite relevant. Making money allegedly spreading the word of Christ is wrong.
That’s what I did Ed. I listened to her words. But if you follow the teachings of Jesus you preach quietly, in private to small groups, usually those living under bridges or on the street. And you most definitely do not get paid large sums of money to spread the word. Jesus admonished the Jewish Priests for preaching in public, for making a spectacle of themselves. That’s how I know her intentions, and yours too by the way.
Why don’t you study the original faith Ed? You would be welcome should you ever decide to come home to the Jewish faith.

You should study the Tanakh, it is the original translation.

Why would a Jew have any use fo the New Testament? I’ve read it, out of curiousity. About all I got from it was the obvious contradiction between the way 99% of Christians act and the way they should act. It’s like Ghandi said, “I like your Christ, but not your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

A jew would have use for the New Testament to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. I have read the Old Testament and see the obvious contradiction between the way 99% of Jews act and the way they should act. What now Mohandas? Does that justify a Christian to say that they “have no use” for the Old Testament. You are getting entangled in your own web. Gandhi, you want to quote Gandhi as a judge of Christians???

You’re forgetting one important fact Ed. The “New Testament” couldn’t exist without the Tanakh. The Tankh existed for thousands of years, and before that for thousands of years the word of God was carried down through the generations of God’s chosen people in worship. before the “New Testament” was conceived, and is the very foundation upon which the “New Testament” stands.
Jews rejected Jesus whlie He was still alive, and immediately after His death, and other than acknowledging the letters and other writings of man in the “New Testament,” mainly out of respect for Christians, we have no practical use for it.

One more time….Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of your Tanakh. He is God and doesn’t need your approval or validation or rejection. Because you are a Jew that makes the judgment of Jews valid and irrefutable? Who are you to impugn the divinity of Jesus Christ? You may pretend to be anyone you wish, Independent but God knows your mind and heart and it is He you should respect.

I am the way I am because I have faith. Why is it so hard for fundementalists to accept the fact the Jews rejected Jesus while he was alive, and immediately after he died, and after the story of his ressurection? My ancestors were there, they saw and heard everything, they investigated everything. The ancient Jewish Priests and holy men spoke with witnesses. If the Messiah had truly arrived, why would they reject him? Have you forgotten Jesus was one of us? What is so difficult to understand?

I am the way I am because I have faith. Why is it so hard for Jews to accept the fact that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, the fulfillment of all the prophecies of the Old Testament? Why did the Jews reject Jesus while he was alive? He was crucified and died for our sins and on the 3rd day rose from the dead to conquer sin and death. Your ancestors were there, they saw and heard everything, they investigated everything and yet they rejected Him and were unfaithful to God and the prophecies of your Tanakh. The Messiah had truly arrived, and yet they rejected Him. Have you forgotten the sin of Adam & Eve and their predisposition to sin? Jesus was a Jew and still they rejected Him and in so doing fulfilled the prophecies. What is so difficult to understand?

You can’t understand my disdain for your intolerance? I’m not the one running a web site stating God belongs to my political party, my narrow beliefs are the true word of God, and my “Christian” values exclude the majority of the Christians in America, but are the true wishes of my God.

All forms of communication should be used to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. This may be a shocker to you, but you don’t make the rules.
Then you spread the word in violation of the very teachings you try to spread. I guess the end justifies the means for some people. Not for me.
You speak out of ignorance of the teachings of Jesus Christ. Study my friend.

Amazing how you can see the heart and know Tamara’s intentions. I think not.
Right back at you. How do you see into her heart Ed?
I cannot. But it is you that claimed to know her heart and intentions, not I. I can only listen to her words.
True followers will not accept cash in lieu of good deeds. Those with true faith are not driven by greed.
Is this judgment from the one who eschews judgment?
Nope. Just stating a fact. She gets paid. And rather well, just like Mr. Beck.
And this is somehow sinful or terrible?
How much was Jesus paid for what He did?
How is that relevant?
It’s relevant because anyone who takes lots of cash to “spread the word” isn’t spreading the word. They’re making money for themselves.
Profit is not sin. Financial success is not sin. They are also gifts from God.
