One thing seems certain. South Dakota has not given voice to investigative journalism… not the likes of Texan, Lee Stranahan. He has been maligned personally by those who would choose to dismiss or silence him. That hasn’t worked. He has tenaciously pursued the evidence in an “old” case which appears to have all the makings of a movie-documentary… sex, politics, corruption, revenge and personal destruction.
Stranahan is not just a beginner. He has written for national news organizations and was a personal friend with the late conservative icon Andrew Breitbart. He didn’t arrive in South Dakota with any kind of personal vendetta, but what he discovered here has been alarming to him. Following where the trail of evidence may lead has not made him popular with many establishment Republicans, or for that matter, some liberal Democrats. His creed is “the truth is the truth, and it should be told”.
South Dakota politicians are very nervous around Stranahan. They avoid him at every opportunity. It’s almost as if they have something to hide. But the more he digs, the more people are beginning to step forward. People, who until now have remained silent.
Where will the trail of evidence lead? Stay tuned, it promises to be a very interesting journey.
