Recent primary elections reflect the desire of many Republicans to see conservative, responsible leadership.

These challenging times demand bold leadership with strong conservative principles. There is consensus among conservatives about what is needed in our nation, and more specifically, South Dakota.

Economic Development begins in South Dakota, not in China. There are 9 million energy related jobs nation-wide. With a sound policy to promote responsible development of South Dakota oil and natural gas, communities and families would benefit from thousands of jobs and economic recovery.
PROTECT families and seniors from government imposed health care and let them make their own health care decisions. Responsible policy would REJECT the Federal government dictating policy to South Dakota.
Education has to be a priority, with a plan that makes sense for students AND teachers. Successful programs across America include parental choice. Now is the time for South Dakota to consider the merits of successful programs already in place rather than imposing unpopular new spending programs that do little to advance the needs of our education delivery system.
Freeze Taxes and Cap Spending. Taking more money from the pockets of taxpayers so State government can continue to grow is the WRONG direction. Responsible leadership would look for new efficiencies rather than creating new spending programs.
Return to conservative principles that have been proven over time to provide more freedom and prosperity, with a recognition of our state motto, “Under God the people rule”.
