WHICH PRESIDENT HAS CREATED MORE AGENCIES OF GOVERNMENT, FDR OR BHO?

By Gordon Howie

There is little doubt in the minds of most Americans that our government has grown into a monster that must be reckoned with.  Not that it really matters, but who got us there?  Was it Bush, Carter, Clinton, Obama… who?  Well, the answer is that they are all culpable; Along with the Democrats AND Republicans in the House and Senate.  We didn’t get here overnight.  It has taken decades.  No one President or party is singularly responsible.    Our reality is simple.  Out of control government spending, excessive regulation and taxation that cripples our economy have been delivered by politicians who are more concerned about the next election than the next generation.   In the recent election, we retired a few of those who are responsible.  Precious few!!  We are on a train that is heading toward a catastrophic train wreck.  Our engineer is a President who is breaking all the records.  Unfortunately, he is steering the train at break-neck speed, in the wrong direction!!    It isn’t even a contest anymore.  Obama has taken us farther, faster than any other leader in history.  Take one minute to watch this Glenn Beck video.  Even if you don’t like Beck, you can’t deny the truth of this message!

I smile when liberals are confronted with facts. They all resort to the same tactic. Change the subject or attack someone. Intelectual honesty would require that they stay on topic and deal with the facts.

For starters, you haven’t stated any facts, just your opinions. Our government is not a “monster.” We are not headed for a “catastrophic train wreck.” We aren’t traveling at “break-neck speed,” and doomsday is not right around the corner. Why don’t you “cowboy up” and face adversity head on, instead of blaming others and preaching all that fire and brimstone. This country, and it’s people are way tougher than you ever imagined, and we’ll right the ship without any of the divisive extremism you offer. Thanks but no thanks.

“There is little doubt in the minds of most Americans that our government has grown into a monster that must be reckoned with.”

That’s a pretty interesting opinion. Judging by the reception most tea party candidates have received at the polls, including your experience in the gubernatorial primary in S.D. I’d say it’s not very accurate.

But George W. Bush created the Department of homeland Security, the greatest threat to our Constitution and liberty.

I don’t know if it’s the greatest threat but it is certainly one of the worst. The sheer volume of agencies to be created by this one law and one president is truly alarming.
