Governor Bobby Jindal is in the news again.
On Saturday night he delivered a speech saying, “people are ready for a hostile takeover of Washington, D.C., to preserve the American Dream for our children and grandchildren.”
Jindal accused the left of being intolerant when it comes to people of faith saying, “The left is trying to silence us and I’m tired of it, I won’t take it anymore.”
He also reaffirmed his opposition to Common Core, “The federal government has no role, no right and no place dictating standards in our local schools across these 50 states of the United States of America.”
While he accused President Barack Obama and other Democrats of waging wars against religious liberty and education, he stopped short of identifying what may be an even larger problem… Republicans who are complicit with them.
Most rank-and-file Republicans are God fearing, tolerant, and patient. That patience and tolerance, however, is growing thin. Jindal has it right when he says there is a hostile take over brewing. It is taking place in the Republican party. Republicans who actually believe in their party platform are rising up and taking charge. Establishment politicians are being replaced by these principle-based Republicans. Ask Eric Cantor.
Jindal is on the right track, he just needs to verbalize the means through which this change can take place. It is happening now.
It is the hostile take over of the Republican party.
