A message from the SD Family Policy Council…
Education is all about inspiring our children to think, reason, create, and grow as individuals. It is not about preparing them for a standardized test. Or at least that is how I see it through my biblical worldview.
Think back for a moment and ask yourself, “When I went through school did your teachers inspire me to think, reason, create and grow as an individual person?” For most of us, myself (a 1978 grad) included, the answer to that question is NO!
But as the 2014/2015 school year begins, would it be appropriate to ask the question, “Has anything really changed in our public educational system in America?” Or, has it actually gotten worse? What is really going on in those buildings we call schools?
Below are links to four Youtube videos that I invite you to watch. Watch one, two, or all four, but please, do not delete this email without having watch one of them! You and I can no longe remaining ignorant as to what is really going on in our public schools. That is no longer an option. You and I must become aware of what is happening to our children, as they file on to those big yellow machines called buses in order to supposedly “be educated.”
And please, do not let the video titles turn you off. Yes, they are shocking, even alarming, but so is what is happening in our public schools! So, it is imperative that you take time (12-15 min.) to watch and educate yourself to the truth! Thank you.
