In a show of unity, several organizations have teamed up to create a voter guide for South Dakota political races.
The South Dakota Family Policy Council, America Family Association Action, Vision America Action, and Heritage Alliance used voting records, political positions and campaign contributors, to judge the candidates. Additional information from candidate questionnaires was included in the evaluation process.
“This only affirms what the Argus Leader printed when it calls me the most conservative candidate in any competitive Senate race. I appreciate these organizations and their willingness to inform voters and reveal the true views of candidates”, said Howie.
Gordon Howie was rated as “very conservative”, and given a 95% likelihood of voting as a conservative in the US Senate.
Candidates Weiland and Pressler received an evaluation of liberal, while Rounds was labeled as only “somewhat conservative”.
