The Apostle Paul Prayed For You

 Paul prays…

“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” Ephesians 1:17-23 (NASB)

How would you like the Apostle Paul praying for you? Consider that he was praying for believers at Ephesus and that by extension, we can receive his prayers as relating to believers in our present time. Consequently, as believers, we can take the Word of God personally and receive Paul’s prayers as if they were made on our behalf.

Would you like the Father of glory to give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the (exact, full) knowledge of Him?

Would you like the eyes of your heart to be enlightened so that you would fully know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe? “[so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.” Ephesians 1:19-21 (AMP)

Can you see a benefit in your spiritual growth and development that can be gained by receiving Paul’s prayers into your life? If so, take some time to meditate on the prayers of Paul for believers in Ephesians 1:17-23 & 3:16-19, and open your heart to receive the development of those attributes in your life.
