Nearly 20% of all pregnancies in America end in abortion.

Yes, about one in five unborn children do not survive to take their first breath… by choice (not theirs).

Nearly half (40%) of women with an unexpected pregnancy choose abortion.  If there is good news in this, it might be that the number of (reported) abortions per year have declined since the early 90’s.  Still, over 3,000 children loose their lives every day in America.  That’s more than one every 30 seconds.  Nearly 60 million children have been lost to date.

Isn’t it time for Pro Life and Pro Choice to come together?

The focus of the battle has been on LAW…  Can abortion be legal?  For a moment, can we set aside our differences on whether abortion should or should not be legal, and focus on how we can HELP women in a crisis pregnancy?  Let both sides continue their respective battles over the law.

For a moment, let’s agree that NEITHER side wants to promote the taking of the life of an innocent unborn child.  The battle has been over whether a woman has the RIGHT to do so.  If we can, let’s agree that we should help all women in crisis have the option of an INFORMED CHOICE.  Further, for those of us on both sides who agree that we are not promoting the killing of unborn children (which includes most people on BOTH sides), shouldn’t we be doing all we can to ENABLE women to choose life?

My challenge to those who claim to be Pro Life, but will fight to the death for a woman’s “right to choose” is this:

What are you doing to PROMOTE the choice for life?  What are you doing to HELP women in crisis so they CAN choose life, if they would prefer?  You have given your financial support to Planned Parenthood and other pro abortion organizations.  Have you given your financial support to organizations that help women CHOOSE life?

It is time to change the focus, and re-draw the battle lines.  Let’s come together where we can.  People on both sides of the picket line should be making sure that every woman indeed has a CHOICE… including the option to choose life.

Pro Choice advocates need to step up and support the OTHER choice.  Life.
