Mayor Giuliani says no.
It’s caused an uproar, particularly in liberal circles. But the Mayor does present evidence that he says supports his claim.
Governor Scott Walker was asked the question, “do you believe President Obama is a 
Christian?” Walker artfully dodged the question.
Who has it right, the Mayor to call it like he sees it, or the Governor to dodge the question? There will doubtless be much discussion on these two issues… “Is the President a Christian? Does he love America?” Some people like Fox’s Bill O’Reilly prefer to play the ball down the middle of the court by saying “We can’t know what is in someone’s heart”.
Jesus disagreed with that assertion. He made it pretty clear that we can tell what is in someone’s heart by observing their words and deeds.
“By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” (Mathew 7:16-20, NIV)
I think the Mayor got it right. And no, I don’t think the President is a Christian.
