Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death

      Isn’t it a shame that we find again that the Islamic extremists are destroying the very foundations of the region’s past, religions, and culture? It is a formidable tale of what the Muslims involved stand for. That is removing some of the most important things to other peoples in the world, wiping out the past, ignoring the worth of any human being or their heritage that does not conform to their ideology.

     It is also a shame that our president is doing, in effect, the same thing to our laws, foundations, institutions, and culture, tearing them down piece by piece, obliterating the intensions of our founders. More and more things are being done without our representatives having a say in them. If congress is stalled because of partisanship, it is still working the way it is supposed to work, and does not justify a president making the rules on his own, especially with such egregious overreach. The founders did not expect the president to make such far-reaching and costly decisions as involved in the immigration order. Things of this magnitude should only be decided by congress, and smell highly of politics over care.

      Then there is the decision by the FCC to take over the Internet, or the elimination of rounds for the AR-15 by BATFE. There are instances every day of how Obama and his circle are finding “legal” ways to go around the will of our representatives and the people. Holder used his law background not to enforce the law, but to stymie ways to enforce it by endless suits and countersuits, and getting liberal benches to interpret laws in ways they were never meant to be interpreted. There will be much coming out in the future of the backroom maneuvers to keep a lawless IRS from owning up to its corruption by the left. Same for Benghazi and the Federal Election Committee.

      This is much like what happened in Germany before the Nazis took over, or the Russian, or Czechoslovakian transformations. By sly machinations in the dark, everything in these soon-to-be dictatorial states was changed because they made them supposedly legal. It’s a slow drip of imposition on the intentions of our constitution, as it was for these other countries.

   I don’t know if Obama is just stupid or cowardly or actually diabolical, but I do know he cannot care about this country or the world with the things he has done and is doing. How many people have died while he looks the other way, and at his image in the mirror? How long will we have to suffer his cowardice and chicanery? How long will we have to allow the evil people in the world to spit in our faces, and cross lines of our honor? How long can we wait for him to respect our constitution

   If Obama truly cares about human beings, he must learn to stand up, and face the possibility of great sacrifice by opposing the evil forces around the world and in this country. There is no isolation any more. He must face Patrick Henry’s oath of “Give me liberty or give me death.” A reading of the speech he gave when he uttered it is worthy of your time.

      Only Obama could believe looking the other way is liberty, or morally correct or advantageous.
