Who is this guy?
And why is he at the right hand of John Kerry in every photo opp?
He is, according to a recent article from The Hill “Obama’s big brain on Iran”, Earnest Moniz. His official title is US Secretary of Energy.
He does have some credentials. He is a nuclear physicist who taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before joining the Obama administration. There seems to be little doubt that he is a brilliant man. 
Apparently I am not the only one who is taken back a bit by his “hair”. The Hill report comments, “It’s unclear how Moniz’ hair is playing in the negotiating room”.
Hair aside, it should be comforting that our negotiations are supported by intellect other than John Kerry. The unfortunate part of these negotiations is that we are negotiating with Iran at all! Certainly, we should not be giving them even an inch in the development of their nuclear capabilities.
While the Iranian leader is promising to wipe Israel off the map, and Obama has a record of abandoning Israel, it seems like any deal with Iran would not be good for Israel or America. Additionally, even IF there is a deal, you can be sure Iran will only use it to advance their nuclear program and not live up to any of their obligations under a treaty.
At the end of the day, the guy with the hair might be the only smart thing about the negotiations.
