Thoughts on Common Core from parents…
Dear school administration,
What should be simple addition, schools have somehow made into a ridiculous and way more difficult process than is necessary! I cannot understand the way they are trying to make my children learn it, at all! I just can’t wrap my brain around this, 100 times more difficult than it needs to be, new way of teaching. I am not a complete idiot, but I can’t even help my 3rd grader with his math 
anymore, due to the absurd way that they make them do it. …It makes absolutely no sense!!

Seems like the old way of doing math was working just fine! I’d like someone to show me the stats as to how this has increased the quality of education our kids are getting. Common Core is just more government control, taking away from individual achievement incentives resulting in what?? Increased graduation rates?? Sounds like Socialism in education! Everybody gets the same grade no matter how hard you work, or don’t work.
These are very typical comments on Common Core from parents who deal with their children as they are subjected to the “new way”.
Why are political leaders and school officials NOT listening?
