A possible sequel to “Clinton Cash”…

 As we learn more about contributions to the Clinton Foundation, it is becoming more and more obvious to observers that something is very fishy here.  A report from Whistleblowers shows nearly 200 contributors who lobbied the State Department while Hillary was at the helm.

Would it surprise you to know that is how the political class operates in South Dakota?

Consider this…

Former Governor, now US Senator Mike Rounds awarded no bid contracts for State advertising worth Millions to Lawrence and Schiller.  Craig Lawrence would later serve a chairman of the state Republican party.  Where did those Millions of dollars go, and what was the political consequence?

Big checks went to South Dakota media.  Radio, newspaper and television.  Do you really believe that the recipients of those Millions would seriously consider placing that ‘business’ relationship in jeopardy by reporting anything negative on the politician who was responsible for the flow of that money?  In short, this “South Dakota Shakedown” has the effect of silencing the media on issues that might be too ‘uncomfortable’ for certain political leaders.  No one has to make a phone call.  No one has to say anything.  It is called “influence”.  The political class buys this media “influence” with your tax dollars.

The consequence of this money cycle is that things go “unreported”.  That allows people to conduct ‘business’ without much, if any public scrutiny.  Government run insurance creates huge pools of money for certain people.  You may not know that, while publicly disparaging ObamaCare, some have been beneficiaries of this and other programs.

Some people have begun asking questions about a few things:

• Mike Rounds owns a large insurance company (perhaps the largest in SD)

• Lawrence & Schiller also created an insurance enterprise

• Lawrence & Schiller built the website for KELO TV (probably the most widely viewed in SD)

• The EB 5 program provided Millions for many ventures… Benefits to political leaders?

• Beneficiaries of Lawrence & Schiller Millions are political contributors to political leaders

• Beneficiaries of EB 5 Millions are friends and close associates of political leaders

The deeper you dig, the more dots connect.  It makes me wish I had the financial resources for staff to really investigate this South Dakota Shakedown.  Maybe I should start an EB 5 venture, or a major media enterprise so I could get some of the Millions that are available.  But then, I guess I COULDN’T report on any of this!

Do you honestly think that the Clintons are unique in the political money cycle?  You might want to guess again!
