12 felony charges against Annette Bosworth…
… For petition violations.
Is that the whole story?
In an article on Town Hall, Paul Jacobs presents a convincing case on why he thinks this is NOT a ‘normal’ prosecution. He says it is PERSECUTION, as the result of a long-standing feud with Bosworth.
Jacobs isn’t a beginner at this kind of political gamesmanship. He says he was also attacked by an Attorney General in another state over petition related “crimes”.
(Paul Jacobs)
There are obviously many ‘Bosworth haters’ in South Dakota. You don’t challenge the political elite without making some enemies. But it is painfully obvious to everyone else in the State that Jackley has an agenda which transcends her minor petition infractions.
So why is Jackley REALLY charging Bosworth with twelve felonies, knowing that the heaviest consequences could be 24 years in prison, $48,000.00 in fines and loss of her license to practice medicine? It’s a fair question. If Jackley were simply pursuing “justice” he would reduce the charges to misdemeanors and get on with the serious business of being South Dakota’s Attorney General.
Jackley should put aside his vendetta and do the right thing.

I would love to put this on little PP’s blog but the last few times I have posted there he deletes my post and just gushes bile without letting me respond. This is a fair place to post. You will notice not many prior candidates have thrown stones at Annette…which is wise because they all know they have done the same thing….except hypocrite Hickey. Foolish, foolish man to be casting stones. I have others (even a legislator) who said they collected signatures for Hickey and gave Hickey the unsigned petition back for him, or his secretary, to sign (I’ll have to check the petitions). Just because he is a pastor, doesn’t he realize people are not going to lie for him? If asked, “Did you give Hickey an incomplete petition with signatures that you acquired?” or “Did you sign a petition that was out on a counter/table and did someone watch your signature?” people will either have to lie to make Hickey feel better or not….I’m guessing there will be a few that won’t lie for him. Instead of casting stones, Hickey should have shown his scarlet letter.
