Insurance rate hikes are likely by July…
Big ones!
Last month in South Dakota, Wellmark asked for an increase of nearly 43% in their insurance rates. Other companies followed with proposed increases of their own. While Wellmark’s proposed increases were the highest, the government subsidies of ObamaCare is what kept the others from larger increases. Companies like Wellmark, who have not joined the Health Care Exchange are experiencing much higher costs because of mandates in the new government health care law. They are simply paying out more than they are
taking in. That’s primarily due to two reasons: New law requires them to cover preexisting conditions, and people buying from others companies who are able to offer lower rates because of government subsidies.
What’s next?
Insurance companies who haven’t joined the Health Care Exchanges will either go out of business or join in order to survive by receiving subsidies.
Then what?
Even the costs for remaining companies will continue to rise. Something will have to be done. Enter, the government with a ‘solution’. It won’t be called ‘rationing’, but it will be rationing. Health ‘Management’ committees (Death Panels) will be positioned to approve… or disapprove medical procedures. They will weigh the ‘merits’ of these procedures and ultimately decide who can receive them. A quick look into the VA health care system gives you a good idea of just how efficient the government will be when they ‘manage’ health care for everyone.
Look for higher taxes and fewer health care options.
While you are at it, you might want to sent a thank you note to Congress and the White House.

I’m SO glad ObamaCare made health care more “affordable,” in typical government fashion.
In all seriousness, getting government OUT of health care could save people a lot of money: http://dailysignal.com/2015/06/08/this-new-state-data-shows-the-real-story-behind-king-v-burwell/?utm_source=heritagefoundation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=morningbell&mkt_tok=3RkMMJWWfF9wsRoguqXMZKXonjHpfsX57%2BwqUKO2lMI%2F0ER3fOvrPUfGjI4JRcJqI%2BSLDwEYGJlv6SgFQrLBMa1ozrgOWxU%3D
We need to return to the limited government, free market system that helped create the greatest, most prosperous nation in all of human history.
