Some Pro Life organizations are celebrating reports of a drop in abortion numbers.

Still, many pro-lifers aren’t being quick to celebrate.

The Associated Press reports a 12 % drop in the number of abortions nationally.  The AP story is probably not telling the “whole story”, and creating a picture that distorts the truth.

Many people believe the number of abortions is actually INCREASING.  UNREPORTED and MIS-REPORTED abortions are obviously not included in any statistics.

These unreported and mis-reported abortions obviously are not included in the statistics being heralded as a new trend toward fewer abortions in America.

As you consider these reports of “declining abortion rates”, you might also want to consider some other, related information.  Here are some facts you may not have known.

• In South Dakota, abortions are done in Sioux Falls at the Planned Parenthood clinic, and at the Rapid City Regional Hospital

• RU 486, the “abortion pill” is commonly called a medical abortion.  In 2008 reports showed that nearly one million women had used the abortion pill for a medical abortion rather than a surgical abortion.

• In fiscal 2013-2014, Planned Parenthood received over 40% of its budget from taxpayer funds.  PP took $528 Million dollars from the government, this despite their income of $127 Million dollars and assets of over $ 1.4 Billion.

• The “morning after” pill is widely available… even sold in vending machines.

• Some areas report that over 30% of all pregnancies end in abortion… In New York City, areas show as high as 40% of all unborn children are aborted.

Don’t be fooled by statistics.  Mis-information campaigns can be effectively used to help silence opposition.  Abortion is rampant in America.  Regardless of the numbers, every abortion kills an unborn child.

Even ONE is too many.
