Does South Dakota allow prayer in public schools?
Most people don’t know what rights are still afforded regarding religious liberty. We have allowed the anti-God minority to bully us into a place where our freedom of religion has been seriously diminished.
The Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. Hosea 4:6
Many, if not most teachers and school officials in South Dakota have been duped into believing it is somehow “illegal” to exercise your freedom of religion in public schools. As a freshman in the South Dakota House of Representatives in 2005, I was abhorred by the ignorance of school officials and parents regarding religious liberty. As an attempt to educate the educators, I authored a Concurrent Resolution which identified and affirmed the rights available to South Dakota citizens and schools. It passed the House and the Senate without one dissenting vote.

Maybe it’s time to re-educate parents and educators about what rights are legally and constitutionally theirs. While this resolution may not have been all-inclusive, it may be a start if people are aware.
