Relationship has its privilege.
It also has a name. Crony Capitalism.
In South Dakota, Democrats complain loudly about crony capitalism among Republicans. They are right to do so. But when it comes to Hillary Clinton they are strangely silent. Am I the only one who wonders why?
As if Hillary didn’t already have enough problems and baggage, now the issue of Marc Mezvinsky and his beneficial ties to the Clintons is causing some concern. Enough so that some are calling for an investigation. The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust is filing a formal complaint with the US Office of Government Ethics. The complaint alleges special access to the State Department based upon the company’s relationships with Secretary Clinton’s family members and donors to the Clinton Foundation.
I am not surprised by this cozy relationship.
I do wonder, however, why South Dakota Democrats who are working feverishly to “end crony capitalism” are not up in arms about crony capitalism when it involves Democrats. My friend and former candidate for US Senate, Rick Weiland is devoting significant effort to end crony capitalism in South Dakota. I would like to hear from him on the Clinton/Mezvinsky connection.
Rick, please let South Dakota know what you think about this.
