Like him or hate him, Donald Trump is a major player in Presidential politics.

WHY???

This video captures what I believe is the “essence” of Trump.

Looking at his history, it’s hard to tell where he might actually land when it comes to important policy issues.  He seems to “evolve”, issue by issue.  Voters seem to like what he is saying.  If he were to stay true to his rhetoric in the Oval Office, there would be significant change.  It’s easy for voters to forget that our current President had some powerful rhetoric of his own.  It just turned out to be very misleading.  Reluctant voters are still asking themselves if they can really trust Trump to do what he says he would do.

The Trump quote, “If you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well be thinking big”, is classic Trump.  His success in the political arena isn’t so much BECAUSE of his policy positions, it is in spite of them.  He has the ability to think out loud.  And he thinks big.  That’s not a bad thing, in and of itself.  He has tapped into the political line that served to twice elect Barack Obama… “Hope and Change”.

American voters are buying that bumper sticker in large numbers.
