The political revolution within the Republican party could mark its end.

If it does, it will mark the end of America as we have known it.

America has, indeed reached a crucial tipping point.  America will either mark a return to the traditional, moral standards that made this a great nation, or it will become a “new” America that plunges itself into the moral abyss.  It is a time of choosing.  Will we be a Christian nation, or is Barack Obama correct in saying “We are no longer a Christian nation”?

For believers, the odds don’t look very good.  The Washington Post article titled “Why 2016 could be shattering for Republicans”, details a dismal picture for the saving of the “old” America.

Many people, like Evangelist Franklin Graham, have given up on the Republican party.  In fact, they have given up on the political system altogether.  Graham, and others see God as America’s last and only hope.  The battle is not a new one, it just happens to be a battle that conservative  Christians have been LOOSING over the past decade.  Several years ago I delivered a message to Christians.  It was essentially the same message that Graham and others are now speaking.

That message didn’t produce much change when I delivered it.  Perhaps now, people will listen.  I hope so.

Charles Finney had a similar message, “God will bless or curse this nation according to the course that Christians take in politics”.  To the extent that over 50 million Christians have been AWOL in elections, and many of those voting have not voted for candidates representing Christian values, America has certainly been “cursed”.  Our nation is in turmoil, and on the verge of a revolutionary transformation into something that does not resemble what our Founding Fathers had in mind.  Hillary Clinton could very well become our next President.

Our only hope is a mighty move of God.
