The average American spent just under $1,000.00 for gifts.
Unfortunately, many of them have no idea why they were celebrating. Even among those who know the story of the Christ child, it is sad, but true that many haven’t accepted the story as their own personal path to a relationship with God. It’s just another “story”. It’s just another “holiday” like Halloween.
Why did YOU celebrate?
I celebrate because this little child was born to die so I could have a way to connect with God. Jesus gave His life so I could have a personal relationship with Him, even thousands of years after His death. I celebrate His birth, life, death and resurrection. I celebrate His fulfilled promise to send the Holy Spirit as my personal guide to all truth. When Jesus said that NO MAN comes to God, except through Him, it gave me cause to celebrate.
Accepting the REALITY of Jesus is a life-changing event. I recall what my life was like before accepting Him as my Savior. It was so revolutionary that even my appearance changed. Certainly, so did my life. I would not go back for anything. His gift of eternal life with God doesn’t begin after I die. It began the moment I allowed Him to become my personal Savior. That is why I celebrate.
If you don’t know Jesus personally, you haven’t opened the very best gift.
It would give you a reason to celebrate.
