You have heard by now Governor Daugaard wants to increase your taxes.

Again.

This time, he wants to raise your taxes “just a little bit”.  His proposal is only half as bad as the Democrats.  They want a 25% increase in sales taxes (from 4% to 5%).  Daugaard only wants a 12 1/2 % increase (from 4% to 4 1/2%).

Daugaard wants to “solve” the teacher pay problem.  Raising taxes does NOT solve problems.  It CREATES problems.

Daugaard and his “Republican” cronies have already raised taxes.  LOTS of taxes.  Another proposal (from some Republicans) is promoted as the “fair” way to raise $77 million dollars each year to “solve” the teacher pay problem… just increase tax on Agriculture properties.  Fair, indeed!

If raising taxes solves problems, then why not raise taxes by HUNDREDS of millions of dollars per year??

Oh, wait… he already has!
