Carly, Ben and Christie Should Go Home

Who will continue?

Fiorina, Carson and Christie were not able to have a break out moment in the New Hampshire primary (finishing 6th, 7th & 8th).  Gilmore must have already gone home.  Even though Carson vowed to continue after Iowa, its hard to comprehend how he can effectively compete on any level after his poor showing (2%) in the nation’s first primary.  Fiorina has had her moments in the sun, but that hasn’t translated into any lasting traction.  After Christie had a great debate night, attacking Rubio, he had to be disappointed with his showing at the voting booth.

Rubio will probably limp south to the next contest, but he is definitely a wounded warrior.  He is now swimming upstream.  Fifth place was short of the mark.

Kasich should be happy, but his organization going forward is very weak and he doesn’t have much money.

Bush has enough organization and money to stay in, and his fourth place position in New Hampshire keeps him alive for now… barely.

Cruz wasn’t expected to do exceptionally well in this primary, but exceeded expectations.  His strong third place finish allows him to remain very competitive with his financial and organizational strength.

Trump will be boasting about his 30% + showing.  The large number of candidates has played to his advantage, but that will soon be over.  His share will be much less lopsided as the field narrows.  It is reasonable to expect that when there are only three… or two… candidates in the race, his 30% will look much smaller.

The contest is now between two choices; a moderate to liberal candidate, or a conservative.

Choose wisely America.
