Many Governors have refused to accept Obama’s un-vetted Syrian refugees.

Not South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard.

If you wonder why he would put the safety of South Dakotans at risk, you might be interested in the money trail.

Regardless of the Governor’s motives, there may still be a firewall if Mayors and County Commissioners across the state would unite in resistance to Daugaard’s co-operation with Obama.

Mayors could endorse a proclamation that no un-vetted Syrian refugees would be accepted in their South Dakota cities.  Rural communities could be likewise protected if County Commissioners likewise refused them.  This might sound more simple than it is in reality, but it would be a step in the right direction.  It would be doing SOMETHING, rather than just allowing Daugaard and Obama to place thousands of these un-vetted refugees in South Dakota.

South Dakotans are like most Americans.  We are a compassionate people.  This issue transcends compassion.  This is a serious breach of the responsibility of the President and our Governor to place our safety and security first.  Since Daugaard and Obama are derelict in their duty, it is up to someone else to protect us.  Unless I missed it, the South Dakota Legislature didn’t address the issue.

Mayors and County Commissioners should deal with it.
