I don’t do many movie reviews.

For that matter, I don’t go to a lot of movies.

BUT… the movie, RISEN, is a must see.  It is powerful and inspirational.  The entire showing will keep your attention, but one scene in particular was most compelling.  The soldier who was the main character was traveling with Jesus and His disciples.  They were around a fire at night sharing diner.  What stood out to me was what a high privilege it was for this soldier to be in their company.

I was quickly reminded that every one of us have that very high privilege.  Jesus told us He would be with us always, and would never leave nor forsake us.  Having a day by day, moment by moment personal relationship with Jesus is available to anyone who wants it.  No one is excluded.

As we left the movie, I had a renewed appreciation for the high privilege I have been given, to be His disciple and His friend.
