History provides valuable lessons to those who will listen.
I am not suggesting that any current American politician is the equivalent of Hitler. What I have wondered, is how does any society place immoral people in positions of authority.
In researching what gave this wicked man the opportunity to gain political control, I found the information on Wikipedia interesting.

I honestly believe that our own Republican party is responsible for the rise of Donald Trump. Their tactical and real discouragement of candidates other than their own hand picked candidates has been part of the problem. Also believing that voters can be told who to vote for recently by those in control, no matter if it is on the local or national level just solidifies the voters to do just the opposite of what they are told to do.
