If you are committing a crime, you might not want to leave your name and address at the scene.

The Pennington County Sherriff’s Department says an arrest warrant has been issued for Ronald Gonzales.

You might wonder why that would make me happy.

Evidence shows that it was Ronald Gonzales who dumped a load of his garbage on both sides of the county road leading to our ranch during the dark of night.  It’s hard to have anything but disgust and contempt for someone who does this kind of thing.

Unfortunately for Mr. Gonzales, there were several boxes, prescription bottles and miscellaneous items with his name and address along with furniture and other garbage.  The Sherriff investigated the scene and visited the address listed for Ronald Gonzales.  His relatives said that he and his girlfriend had left that morning, moving to Minnesota.  Attempts by the Sherriff to reach him at listed phone numbers were unsuccessful.

Still, the long arm of the law may catch up to Gonzales.  He has been charged with illegal dumping, a class one misdemeanor, and the arrest warrant will follow him wherever he goes.  If he gets stopped in traffic or has any encounter with law enforcement, he will be arrested and extradited to Pennington County, where he will face charges in a court appearance.

He deserves it.
