You’ll Love Craig Ericks For SD House Of Representatives

Or hate him!

a

Depending on whether you are a conservative or a liberal.

Craig Ericks doesn’t mince words about his position on the issues.  He begins his remarks at political events like this:

” I’m a God fearing, Bible believing, Gun packing, Freedom loving, Constitution cherishing, Patriotic American, Conservative Republican.”

That settles it!

He isn’t inclined to pander.  His statement about the Republican Party explains a lot, “All Republicans elected to office in South Dakota should adhere to the state Republican platform.”

You can learn more about Craig at his website.  Ericks is a conservative candidate who means what he says.  He’s not likely to change after he is elected.

He would make a great spokesman for conservative values.

Interesting. All Republicans should adhere to the platform. They should forsake their own morals, principles, experience and best judgement and just do what the party tells them?

First, the GOP platform aligns with the Judeo-Christian values that produced the greatest nation in history. That’s a very good thing for any person to adhere to.

But also, if you’re going to join an organization and publicly align yourself with that organization, it’s only reasonable that you be expected to adhere to that organization’s charter, mission, etc.

We wouldn’t expect a doctor to be a member of the American Medical Association, and then engage in practices that are rejected or contradicted by the established values of the AMA.

We wouldn’t expect a dentist to run around telling people it doesn’t matter if you brush your teeth and floss, and to eat all the sugary candy you want.

We wouldn’t expect a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to drink and drive.

We wouldn’t expect a member of one football team to run plays for the other team and block their own team members.

Neither should we expect (or put up with) “Republicans” who betray the documented conservative principles found in the GOP platform. You know, like raising unnecessary taxes, advancing the homosexual agenda, refusing to protect the family from the Left’s agenda of sexual anarchy, refusing to protect unborn children from abortion, refusing to limit government at the federal level to constitutional restrictions and to common sense limited government principles at the state level, protecting the right to keep and bear arms, and so on.

“Republicans” who are playing for the Democrat team have no place in the GOP. They should get their minds–and their actions–right by adhering to the documented values and principles of the Republican Party, or go back to the Democrat Party where they belong.
