Dr. Pat Castle isn’t an ordinary pro life advocate.
In addition to being the founder of LIFE Runners, he has a background in an area of science that allows him to speak with authority on the issue of life.
An article on Live Action News had this to say:
“Human life begins in bright flash of light as a sperm meets an egg, scientists have shown for the first time, after capturing the astonishing ‘fireworks’ on film.
An explosion of tiny sparks erupts from the egg at the exact moment of conception.”
In considering this new evidence of the beginning of life, Dr. Castle issued this challenge for people to defend life and truth:
I’m a Christian and a nano-analytical chemist who has worked at the atomic level. Faith and science go hand in hand because it’s all God’s stuff. Life begins at conception (fertilization) – scientifically understood for decades. At the moment of fertilization, with a flash of light, we have a unique human genome (DNA) – we are alive! These “astonishing fireworks” aren’t enough for our culture to defend life from conception to natural death. Many of those who saw Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead were amazed, yet didn’t defend Him. Let this challenge us to share more compassion and love as catalysts to help others see and defend the bright flashes of God’s truth all around us! Jer 1:5
