More than 80,000 people have left Fort McMurray.

1,600 homes and other buildings have already been lost to this wildfire. Gas has been turned off, the power grid is damaged and water is not drinkable.  It’s too early to project when/if these displaced people will be able to return.

Fort McMurray is in the heart of Canada’ oil sands. That will have serious implications to the Canadian and world economy.

This fire is far from over.  The consequences resulting from this disaster won’t be know for weeks or maybe months, but will no doubt be huge.

It would be a good time to pray for the people of Canada.
